This section explained how to add a simple button to your main menu. For general header/menu management, see here.
1. Hover over "Appearance" on the left menu. Click “Menus”.
Make sure you select the menu you wish to edit by using the menu dropdown:
2. On the left side, click on the “Custom Links” box. Paste the URL of the page that you want to link to in the URL field. In the “Link Text” field, input what you want the button to read. Click “Add to Menu.”
3. The button will not be added to the bottom of the list on the right. In order to make it look like a button, rather than just text, add “menu-item” (without quotations) into the “CSS Classes (optional)” field.
NOTE: If you don’t see the “CSS Classes (optional)” field, scroll to the top of the page and click on “Screen Options” in the top right. In the bottom row, make sure “CSS Classes” is checked off. Now the field should appear.
4. Click on “Save Menu” in the top right to make the button appear on your website.
