Creating a New Timed Sale

A timed sale is an event that runs online, for a specific duration of time, as setup by the auction house.

To create a new timed sale:

  • Login to the Admin Console
  • Select "Create New Sale" from the top level navigation
  • Enter the auction type as Timed from the dropdown
  • Enter the title, description, start/end timed, a timezone and currency type
  • Select "Create Auction"
    • Bidding will open at the entered start day/time and lots will close at the end day/time.

Configurations for a timed sale include:

  • Bid below starting price: Allow/disable bidding below starting. This enables/restricts bidders from leaving bids below the starting price.
  • House Bidding to Reserve: Allow/disable house bidding up to the reserve: You can allow/disable the system to bid against bidders up until the increment before the reserve price.
  • Staggered End Times: When you create a new timed sale, at the bottom of the new auction setup, you will see the minute and second selectors appear.
    • You can leave these blank if you want all lots to end at the same time or enter a staggering frequency,
      • If you add lots to a timed sale with staggered end times after the sale's start time, the additional lots will close at the sale end time and will not be staggered.
    • NOTE: DO NOT SET THE STAGGERING DURING THE ORIGINAL SALE CREATION. Wait until your lots/images are loaded then go in and add the stagger timing. This ensures they are setup properly in the system.
